Lixin Lu, Chief Executive Officer and Founder

A veteran entrepreneur and CyberSecurity expert, Lixin Lu has over 19 years of experience in the security industry and has founded 4 security startups, from malware behavior blocking on the endpoints to malware behavior analysis in a sandbox. The most recent company he founded was ValidEDGE, acquired by Intel/McAfee in 2012, where he worked as Chief Scientist in the Network Security Business Unit, leading Advanced Threat Detection product development. He owns multiple patents in advanced malware detection and analysis.

Lixin Lu has an MS from Shaanxi Normal University, a Ph.D. candidate in Geography from Beijing University, and an MS in Computer Information Science from the University of Guelph, Canada.

Mike Zhao, Director of Board

Mike is Managing Partner at SV Tech Ventures.  He was most recently CEO of Array Networks Inc (TWO:3664), a global leader in Application Delivery Networking. Mike has more than 20 years of experience in executive roles at Internet infrastructure and systems integration companies. Prior to Array, Mike was co-founder and COO of AsiaInfo (Nasdaq: ASIA), an Internet infrastructure and telecom customer care and billing solution company. He was once President of Asia America MultiTechnology Association (AAMA) and sits on the Industrial Advisory Board of College of Engineering, Peking University. He is considered a major industry leader and holds BS and MS degrees from Peking University, a Ph.D. in Engineering from State University of New York at Buffalo, and an MBA from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.

Vincent Weafer, Advisor

A distinguished security engineering and technology leader who for the past 30 years has led security research teams at McAfee, Intel and Symantec in the development and advancement of fast-paced research and intelligence-gathering capabilities. Presented at numerous security events. media events and conferences and represented organization on key industry working groups such as the Cyber Threat Alliance. Over the years he has been invited to testify at multiple US government committees including the State Senate Committee, United States Sentencing Commission, and the United States Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation.

Vincent holds a CISSP and graduated with a Bachelor of Science, Electronic Engineering from Dublin City University, Ireland.

A solutions-driven and strategic, cybersecurity leader with 20+ years of experience in accelerating information security strategies and harnessing technologies to elevate enterprise security.  Adriana has led critical initiatives for numerous organizations in both public sector and private industry, as well as launching an industry leading content filtering product for the DoD and leading a multinational product development team with members in Europe, South America and the United States.

Throughout her career, Adriana has presented at numerous industry events and conferences and is the Senior Cyber Security Advisor to the New York State Senate Internet & Technology Committee since its inception in January 2019.

Adriana holds a Bachelor of Science degree as well as having earned the designation of numerous industry certifications; CISSP, MCSE and CCSK, to name a few.

Tony Gunn, Advisor

Tony has a strong leadership background in Information Security.  Over a span of 16 years, he has developed many cyber-security solutions involving technologies and processes that has protected his company’s people and information assets.

As an astute technologist and cybersecurity thought leader, Tony has an excellent track record of streamlining enterprise-wide operational and process management solutions for security-related projects. His most recent leadership role included planning and management of building the Information Security Infrastructure for the divestiture of a company with annual revenues of $2B.

As with any technology-leadership position, there is a mix of “hands on” technical work, team leadership, and alliance building across business lines and with external customers and vendors. Tony has a deep understanding of technologies and how they integrate with the requirements of the business.

Jeramia Cohen is the Chief Information Security Officer at Simpatico Systems. He is a Certified Chief Information Security Officer (C|CISO), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cyber Analyst (CySA), and Certified Ethical Hacker (C|CEH), Jeramia holds thirteen Microsoft certifications including MCP, MCSA, and MCSE.

Starting as the helpdesk technician in his early career, Jeramia worked with various managed Services Providers (MSP) improving processes and efficiencies, building out successful operations teams, and improving the customer experience as Director of IT. He became an integral part of the customer success in his role as virtual Chief Information Officer (vCIO), establishing the foundation and process for the best customer experience, eventually becoming the Director of vCIO Services. After many years in IT Operations and consulting, Jeramia has become 100% focused on cybersecurity, arming himself with knowledge and experience, to help Simpatico Systems and their partners apply proper precautions against the adversaries looking to profit from others' downfall. His role as CISO has afforded him the ability to make a difference for businesses, one threat, and one vulnerability at a time.
